What are Worksheets?

With the Worksheets feature you can create digital, interactive worksheets from various building blocks – from text and headings to multiple-choice questions, fill-in-the-blank exercises, matching tasks and embedded media.

The feature is located in the Library of your sevenAI app and can be accessed via the “Worksheets” section.

Organizes the worksheet into sections with a highlighted heading.

Text

Body text for task descriptions, explanations or informational texts. Supports Markdown formatting.

Tip / Note

Highlighted info box for tips, notes or important remarks for learners.

Divider

Visual separator between sections for clear structuring.

Interactive Tasks

Choice (Single / Multiple Choice)

Questions with predefined answer options. Configurable as single choice (one correct answer) or multiple choice (several correct answers).

Free Text

Open text field where learners can write their answer freely – ideal for essays, definitions or short compositions.

Fill in the Blanks

Text with blanks that learners must fill in. Ideal for vocabulary, technical terms or grammar exercises.

Matching

Form pairs – learners match terms, definitions or images to each other. Perfect for vocabulary training or concept explanations.

Media

Image

Embed images – e.g. diagrams, photos or illustrations.

Video

Embed videos – as an introduction, explanation or supplementary material.

H5P

Embed interactive H5P content – e.g. quizzes, matching exercises or interactive videos.

Create a Worksheet

Create Manually

Create a blank worksheet and add blocks one by one:

  1. Click on “New Worksheet”
  2. Enter a title, optionally subject and grade level
  3. Add blocks via “Add Block”
  4. Edit each block directly in the editor

AI-Generated

Recommended

Enter a few parameters – the AI creates a complete worksheet:

  • ●Topic – e.g. “Photosynthesis” or “Fractions”
  • ●Subject & Grade Level – e.g. Biology, Grade 7
  • ●Difficulty – Easy, Medium or Challenging
  • ●Length – Short, Standard or Long
  • ●Preferred Blocks – Optionally favor certain task types

The AI automatically generates suitable blocks – with texts, questions and tasks. You can then customize everything in the editor.

Use Source Documents

Both when creating manually and with AI generation, you can specify documents from your library or uploaded files as a source. The AI takes the content of these documents into account when creating the tasks – resulting in worksheets that are precisely tailored to your teaching materials.

The Editor

Edit Blocks

Click on a block to select and edit it. In editing mode you can:

  • ●Change content – Edit text, add/remove options, adjust blanks
  • ●Upload media – Embed images and videos directly in the block
  • ●Reorder – Move blocks via drag & drop
  • ●Insert – Add new blocks at any position
  • ●Delete – Remove individual blocks

Settings & Metadata

Via the gear icon in the header you can open the settings panel with three sections:

Properties

Edit the worksheet's title, description, subject, grade level and language.

Sharing

Create and manage access links, generate QR codes, view submissions.

Documents

Link source documents from the library to be used for AI editing.

AI Chat in the Editor

Via the AI icon (sparkle) in the header you can open the AI chat. Here you can give instructions in natural language, e.g.:

“Add a multiple-choice question about cell division.”
“Simplify the text in the second block for Grade 5.”
“Create a fill-in-the-blanks exercise for the vocabulary from Unit 3.”
